Synopsis

Set in the turbulent landscape of mid-20th century Hungary, Andor Hirsch (Árva) follows the life of a young boy struggling to find his place in a society scarred by conflict and ideological shifts. Raised in an orphanage and haunted by fragmented memories, Andor sets out to reclaim his identity.

As he digs deeper into the secrets of his lineage, he confronts the harsh realities of a nation in transition, where personal history is often erased by political agendas. The film is a poignant exploration of loss, resilience, and the universal longing for belonging, captured through a raw and atmospheric lens.
