Cinema Release of ORPHAN

This year’s Hungarian submission for the 2026 Oscars in the “Best International Feature Film” category is finally coming to German theaters. Distributor MUBI Germany will release László Nemes’s Andor Hirsch on May 14, 2026. The film received support from the FFA and MBB, among others.

It’s done!!! OLFAS TÖCHTER is nominated along with four other films for an Oscar in the category “Best Documentary Feature”, which will be awarded for the 96th time on Sunday, 10th March 2024.

FOUR DAUGHTERS – Worldpremiere in Cannes

The titles of the Cannes 2023 nominations have been announced! A high class line-up will walk the red carpet this year…and our co-production FOUR DAUGHTERS by Kaouther Ben Hania (“The Man Who Sold His Skin”) right in the middle of it! We are very excited about this. She is one of six female directors in competition for the Palme d’Or!

THE DAM and MARIUPOLIS 2 in CANNES

We are very happy to announce that THE DAM by Ali Cherri will have its world premiere at Director’s Fortnight of this years Cannes Film Festival.
In addition MARIUPOLIS 2 will be part of the official program as “Special Screening”.

THE GRAVEDIGGER’S WIFE in Cannes

We are very happy to announce that the soulful and impressive debut THE GRAVEDIGGER’S WIFE by Somali director Khadar Ayderus Ahmed will celebrate its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival in the section La Semaine de la Critique.
With the support of ZDF-Das kleine Fernsehspiel, ARTE, FFHSH and WCF, the German-French-Finnish co-production was shot in Djibouti.

‘The Man Who Sold His Skin’ wins at Venice Film Festival

We are delighted to announce that The Man Who Sold His Skin, written and directed by the Tunisian director and screenwriter Kaouther Ben Hania, has won two prizes in the Orizzonti section of the 77th Venice Film Festival.
The film won the Edipo Re Award which is one of the festival’s collateral awards. Syrian actor Yahya Mahayni won the Orizzonti Prize for Best Actor for his role Sam Ali in the film.

The thriller WEREWOLF by Adrian Panek, which has already won many awards at numerous festivals, is currently screened at the Neiße Film Festival in the three-country corner of Germany / Poland / the Czech Republic. So if you want to see it before the German release you can do so on:

German release HAPPY BIRTHDAY

On 17 January 2019 the Greek drama HAPPY BIRTHDAY by Christos Georgiou will have its German premiere at the Greek Film Week Hellas Filmbox in Berlin.

WEREWOLF at Gdynia Polish Film Festival

The debut thriller WEREWOLF by the Polish director Adrian Panek celebrated its world premiere on 19 September 2018 at the Gdynia Polish Film Festival and won the director’s prize and the prize for best music for Antoni Komasa-Łazarkiewicz.

2 CÉSARs & 1 Film Independent Spirit Award for ELLE

This weekend Paul Verhoeven and the team of ELLE celebrated in several ways. Already on Friday, the film won two CÉSARs in Paris. The film itself was voted for Best Film and Isabelle Huppert received the César as Best Actress.

César Awards Nomination for ELLE and SLACK BAY

Another great news today: two films are nominated for the César Award.
ELLE by Bruno Dumont clinched 11 nominations including best film, best director and best actress for Isabelle Huppert.
And SLACK BAY by Paul Verhoeven is nominated for best film, best director and best actor for Fabrice Luchini.

On 26 February 2017 it’s time for: “And the Oscar goes to…”
We are pleased to announce the nomination of Isabelle Huppert as best actress in a leading role in ELLE (by Paul Verhoeven). We keep our fingers crossed.

At the 74th award of the Golden Globe Awards on January, 8th, ELLE was awarded as best non-English language film and Isabelle Huppert as best actress in the Drama category!

2 awards for BLESSED BENEFIT at IFF Warsaw

Blessed Benefit of Mahmoud al Massad was awarded the NETPAC Prize as the best Asian film at the 32nd Warsaw Film Festival on October 15th and the Special Jury Award for the leading actor Ahmad Thaler.

Berlinale 66. – “SOY NERO” by Rafi Pitts in Competition & “MARIUPOLIS” by Mantas Kvedaravicius in Panorama Dokumente

We are happy to announce that our German/French/Mexican co-production “SOY NERO” by Rafi Pitts will have its world premiere in Competition at the 66th Berlinale. Rafi Pitts already attended the competition with “IT’S WINTER” in 2006 and with “THE HUNTER” in 2010.

 

Furthermore we are proud to announce that our Lithuanian/German/French/Ukrainian co-production “MARIUPOLIS” by Mantas Kvedaravicius has been invited for Panorama Dokumente and will also celebrate its world premiere during this year’s Berlinale.
